Job Summary

UK Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement along with Golisano Children’s at UK and UK College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics are seeking goal-oriented and mission-driven philanthropy professionals to serve as Associate Director of Philanthropy, Golisano Children’s at UK. This position will be responsible for engaging, cultivating, soliciting and renewing gifts from individual donors for their assigned Golisano Children’s at UK and Department of Pediatrics funds. Working with the Assistant VP Golisano Children’s at UK Alliance Development and Executive Director of Philanthropy College of Medicine, the incumbent will develop a portfolio from alumni, parents, patients, families and friends with an affinity to their assigned unit(s). This position will reach out to prospects, secure face-to-face visits, engage them in the vital mission, solicit and close gifts focused at this level. This role will be held to metrics of number of visits, progress developing and qualifying prospects in the Associate Director’s portfolio, proposals submitted and dollars raised. The successful candidate should be someone who is a self-starter with skills in oral and written communication. The candidate should have 2–4 years of experience in philanthropy or a related field, such as marketing, wealth management or sales, and have a passion for funding this critical mission.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess experience using MS Windows and Excel; strong communication, people skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
