Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects 50lbs and above; occasionally sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); regular risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; regular exposure to blood borne and airborne pathogens; and occasional exposure to combative/violent people.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with occasional weekends/holidays.

Job Summary

UK HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care while supporting program development for the oncology population at Good Sam MOB Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic. In collaboration with supervisors and senior leadership, this role plays a key part in advancing rehabilitative services for patients across the cancer care continuum.

This position focuses on helping oncology patients improve mobility, manage pain, and enhance overall function, empowering them to maintain independence and quality of life during and after treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical therapy evaluations and deliver treatment interventions in accordance with physician orders
  • Treat patients with a wide range of oncology-related diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the medical record
  • Educate patients and their families on rehabilitative exercises and strategies to support independence and long-term well-being

Qualifications:
  • Current or eligible for Physical Therapist (PT) licensure
  • One to two years of oncology physical therapy experience strongly preferred
