Board Certified or Eligible in Podiatric MedicineJob SummaryThe primary responsibilities of the person in this position are to provide inpatient care and to teach students and residents (as applicable) in the optimal management of patients needing podiatric/foot-ankle services, in the treatment of patients with podiatric/foot-ankle needs, and in the management of patients who benefit from podiatric/foot-ankle services.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Supervise medical students assigned to the Orthopaedic Surgical Services as specified by the Department Chair
- Supervise and educate residents in the care of patients with foot and ankle disorders and other issues related to podiatry
- Serve as an attending and teaching physician in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery’s foot/ankle service, focusing on inpatient and consultative care.
- Serve on appropriate University Hospital and College of Medicine committees as assigned
- Support the research mission of the department
