JobSummary:

The PipingDesigner will be responsible for leading a drafting team whose responsibilitywill be preparing layouts and designs of complex offshore/onshore piping systemsutilizing Company 2D and 3D modeling software. They may occasionally be calledupon to function as a Project Lead, and or Coordinator on Project(s).

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

Prepare man-hour estimates, budgets and schedules for their respectivediscipline;

Manage project work flow to ensure project completion and adherence toproject schedules;

Lead, supervise and mentor the drafters assigned to their project;

Coordinate with client and engineering on determining and addressingproject priorities;

Principal designer involved in resolving piping design issues;

Preparelayouts and overall project execution plans for assigned projects from Scope ofWork (SOW) and/or verbal instructions with little or no guidance;

Ensure that all drawings adhere to client, and/or company draftingstandards;

Ensure that all drawings adhere to client, company and/or industrydesign standards;

Design and draft clean effect piping systems that adhere to safety andmaintenance specifications;

Periodical serve as Piping Checker;

QA/QC project design lead;

Responsiblefor keeping the Project Engineer and Project Manager updated on any and allconcerns relating to their respective assignments;

Track and report progress for assigned project drawings;

Create weight estimates;

Create material estimates;

Performsite and vendor visits as required;

Other various project responsibilities as required;

Must beable to work with and communicate with other discipline leads on project.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Requires aminimum of five (5) years of piping layout and design experience relating tothe Upstream / Downstream Oil & Gas market;

AssociateDegree in Drafting and Design or equivalent preferred;

Requires pastexperience in a lead role supervising drafters and designers;

Requiresknowledge and the ability to work with MS Office Suite of products (Excel, Word,Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access);

Must beproficient in AutoCAD;

Must have advancedknowledge of piping 2D and 3D software. (AutoDesk Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D,Navisworks);

Must haveknowledge of how to design in E3D using laser scan data;

Must haveadvanced working knowledge of P&IDs, General Arrangements, Piping PlansSections and Details, Pipe Supports and Isometrics;

Must have theability to layout process equipment with nozzle locations and interconnecting piping;

Must havefield experience in gathering information for retrofit purposes;

Must have strongworking knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API RP 14C, API RP 14E, API Spec 6A, NFPA andOSHA standards;

Must haveworking knowledge with AWS Welding Symbols and AISC Manual.

WorkingConditions:

Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private orSemi-Private office) but may require occasional travel to off-site worklocations;

Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant or offshoreplatform atmosphere;

Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors andclient personnel;

Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas around productionmachinery with extreme noise levels;

Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safetydepartment for personal protection;

May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able totolerate climate changes;

May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
