
Planner, Operations
Responsibilities
SUMMARY
The Operations Planner will be responsible for establishing weekly and monthly requirements to support the plant sales forecast, throughput requirements and targeted inventory levels. Ensures goods manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications. Improves a company's production and distribution processes. Responsible for making sure the schedule is followed during production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include the following: other duties may be required and assigned at any time.
Responsible for increasing manufacturing speed, reduction of lead times, and controlling operating costs through the application of Theory Of Constraints (TOC) and maximization of daily throughput.
Responsible for creating monthly revenue plan based on customer demand and goals of the organization.
Responsible for meeting weekly shipment targets.
Responsible for on time delivery performance to customer requirements.
Works closely with the inside sales and inside shipping departments to identify and mitigate risks to ensure product ships as planned.
Coordinate with outside shipping for any revenue related drop ships.
Collaborates with various departments, including management, to align goals and priorities.
Will perform back up responsibilities for various outside processing planners when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science degree – Engineering discipline. Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as Throughput, Productivity, Overtime Hours, and Cost. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

PAY RATE
$75K- $80k
