Portfolio Accounting Analyst II

The Role

Fidelity Charitable is looking for a Portfolio Accounting, Analyst II to join the Portfolio Accounting team. You will be focused primarily on transactions in managed accounts held at 3-5 third-party custodians. Throughout the day you will review transactions that meet certain thresholds to confirm accuracy in portfolio accounting system (Advent) and identify and communicate money movement in and out of managed accounts. You will be responsible for manually updating transactions in the portfolio accounting system as needed and opening XTRACs to communicate money movement to the Premium Service group at Fidelity Charitable. You will assist with review and updates in the portfolio accounting system and ensure downstream, internal and external systems have accurate daily balances for managed accounts.

The Skills and Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business

  • At least 1 year of experience in portfolio accounting and/or position reconciliation in the finance industry

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. vlookup and pivot tables); macro writing and VBA are a plus

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills with excellent follow-through while operating under tight deadlines

  • Basic knowledge of brokerage accounts, financial instruments, and financial transactions

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
