Job Summary

A postdoctoral position in the Suzuki Lab is available immediately to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the protective immunity against an intracellular protozoan parasite, Toxoplasma gondii. The projects include studies on the molecular mechanisms of the protective innate and T cell-mediated immunity, and vaccine development. Individuals with a Ph.D. and a strong background in immunology and molecular/cellular biology are desirable.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Knowledge: Immunology, Molecular and cellular biology



Skills: Handling mice, immune cell purification by MACS and sorting, cell culture, immunological assays including ELISA, flow cytometry, DNA and RNA purification, real-time PCR, and immunohistochemistry



Ability: Capable of working independently and in a dependable and reliable manner. Excellent capability as a team worker.
