Job Summary

The Markey Cancer Center is recruiting for a Post Doctoral Scholar. This position will investigate the molecular mechanisms and metabolic determinants underpinning breast cancer metastasis. Specifically, it will use cutting-edge tools and advanced technologies to address this fundamentally important and clinically relevant problem. This position will be responsible for growing and analyzing the functional behaviors of triple-negative breast cancer cell lines, which are highly invasive and metastatic, using 2D, 3D and organoid models. In addition, it will use Crispr-Cas9 approach to knockdown important transcription factors, such as Snail and Twist, in triple-negative breast cancer cell lines to examine the functional role and related regulatory network in controlling breast cancer invasion and metastasis. Furthermore, it will validate and confirm these findings in animal models using genetic knockout, PDX and xenograft models.

This position will have a fully on-site work arrangement.
