Job Summary

The Xiao lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar to study the role of membrane trafficking in cancer progression. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Postdoctoral Researcher located in Lexington, KY. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in experimental design, troubleshooting, and the ability to independently lead projects and advance research initiatives. The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct advanced research, perform laboratory experiments, analyze collected data, and contribute to ongoing grant-funded projects. Additional responsibilities include preparing research findings for publication, collaborating with team members, and mentoring graduate or undergraduate students as part of training initiatives.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

- Mammalian cell culture, molecular and protein assays (RT-qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, Western blotting, etc.)

- Immunostaining, advanced experience in fluorescence microscopy (point scan-, spinning disk-confocal, TIRF microscopy, etc.) is highly desirable

- Experience in imaging analysis (ImageJ, Imaris, etc.) is preferred
