We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research program focused on cell and molecular mechanisms of cancer, specifically relating to telomere and epigenetic dysfunction. The successful Candidate will conduct independent and collaborative research aimed at understanding cancer initiation, progression, and cellular responses using state-of-the-art molecular, cellular, and biochemical approaches.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop an independent research profile, publish high-impact findings, and contribute to translational cancer research in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments in cell and molecular cancer biology.
- Investigate molecular signaling pathways, gene regulation, and cellular behaviors relevant to tumor biology.
- Utilize techniques such as cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, molecular cloning, RNA/protein analysis, microscopy, and functional assays.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate quantitative and statistical method.s
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at scientific meetings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including biologists, bioinformaticians, and clinicians.
- Assist with grant writing, progress reports, and research proposals
- Mentor graduate students, technicians, or undergraduate researchers as appropriate
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with institutional and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
- Strong background in cancer-related research
- Demonstrated experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques
- Proven record of peer-reviewed publications or manuscripts in preparation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with genomics, transcriptomics, and informatics
- Experience with molecular biology, cloning, and gene expression systems
