A postdoctoral appointment is available for a project focused on Quantum Chemical and Machine Learning (ML) approaches to predict the properties of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) with Dr. Carla Ng's Research Group at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

We seek a highly motivated person to lead a project focused on complementary computational approaches to predict the properties and behavior of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other emerging organic chemicals. The successful applicantwill possess a PhD in civil and environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or related fields, have an excellent academic record, and work well in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment. The candidate should have completed the Ph.D. prior to the date of joining. The project involves carrying out simulations, analyzing data, contributing to the training of junior group members, and manuscript preparation.

The appointment will be three months with the possibility for an extension based on performance. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
