Job Summary

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY invites applications for a postdoctoral position in quantum information, broadly defined. The appointment is expected to begin in Fall 2026.

This position is expected to be renewed for up to three years, with the third year contingent on funding availability and satisfactory research progress. The successful candidate is expected to conduct independent and collaborative research in areas related to quantum information science, including quantum dynamics and/or fundamental aspects of quantum gravity. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field by the start date of appointment. A strong record of research excellence and demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively are required.
