Description
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate or more senior researcher for a tokamak researcher role with a focus on experimental plasma physics and control. The successful candidate will join a leading AI for fusion research group and contribute to experimental campaigns on tokamak devices.
Research areas may include:
● Tokamak plasma stability, transport, and boundary physics
● Plasma diagnostics and experimental data analysis
● Plasma control and instability prediction
● Signal processing and data-driven analysis of plasma measurements
Requirements:
● Ph.D. in plasma physics, physics, or a related field
● Experience participating in or running tokamak experimental campaigns
● Background in control, signal processing, or data analysis
● Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
The term of appointment depends on rank. Positions at the postdoctoral rank are for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and continued funding. Those hired at more senior ranks may receive multi-year appointments. Research staff are eligible for University benefits.
