Essential Job Duties:
- Lead the architecture design, construction, and delivery of SAP and proprietary Customer Information Systems for Utility Services clients in regulated and deregulated markets, covering water, gas, electricity, and wastewater sectors.
- Provide leadership and expertise in research, design, and quality assurance to support the delivery of VertexOne, focusing on technical architecture and quality assurance.
- Act as the primary contact for the technical vision of the VertexOne solution, overseeing aspects of technical design, integration, scalability, performance, and overall solutions.
- Develop and execute the overall technical architecture strategy for VertexOne, collaborating closely with key stakeholders and VertexOne leadership.
- Develop Smart Business Cockpits, transactional and analytical applications for SAP Fiori implementations.
- Manage SAP workloads on Azure cloud, including migrations, high availability designs, and disaster recovery setups.
- Ensure technology and infrastructure solutions are validated and align with functional and technical workshop outcomes, maintaining a consistent and scalable solution.
- Lead coordination efforts with VertexOne partners and clients to define and implement integrations of edge systems with VertexOne products.
- Ensure continued collaborate with VertexOne partners and customers to ensure alignment with VertexOne architecture, integration standards, and future roadmap activities.
- Define and document SAP architecture, including capturing technical specifications, preparing estimates, and crafting technical solutions for proposals.
- Plan, prepare and execute upgrades to customer systems.
- Follow SAP best practices for in-place conversion of ECC to S/4HANA, greenfield or brownfield implementations of S4HANA systems.
- Utilize expertise in data evaluation, modeling, and building machine learning algorithms to bring AI innovations to the VertexOne product suite.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects on project design, facilitate design reviews and discussions and provide required technical specifications.
- Support the technical development team by assisting in staffing, training, and mentoring junior team members.
- Define development guidelines for FIORI administration and development. Define best practices and ensure they followed for development using RAP for S/4HANA .
- Perform integration for complimentary services such as AMI, ESRI, GIS, MDM and Work Management.
- Contribute to sales efforts by participating in RFP responses, delivering product demonstrations, and other related activities as needed.
- This position requires 100% telecommuting; employee’s work location can be anywhere in the United States.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related.
Experience Required:
5 years of experience as Technical Architect, Software Developer, Project Leader or related.
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with the following:
(1) End-to End SAP systems integration as a technical architect using ABAP development, process orchestration and Web Dynpro.
(2) Perform HANA modeling, data migration and SQL development for SAP HANA implementations.
(3) Develop Smart Business Cockpits, transactional and analytical applications for SAP Fiori implementations.
(4) Use SAP for Utilities in the regulated and deregulated market for Water, Wastewater, Refuse, Sewer, Storm Water, Electric, and Gas services.
(5) Perform integration for complimentary services such as AMI, ESRI, GIS, MDM and Work Management.
