Job Summary

The College of Health Sciences is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to conduct direct patient care for patients in the Biomotion lab.
Training of Research Subjects – 90%
Responsible for daily treatment and rehabilitation for research subjects enrolled in the University of Kentucky Biomotion laboratories clinical research studies, consisting of lower extremity injuries such as ACL reconstructions, patellar instability, running related injuries and orthopedic trauma. Regularly perform treatment protocols to the highest standards for phased progressions throughout rehabilitation. Educate patients regarding their care. Follow protocols for rehabilitation, ensure subject/patient safety. Responsible for imputing daily treatment notes and assist with progress notes for follow up visits with physicians as needed. Manage day-to-day research study activities and be able to work across multiple research studies.
Customer Service – 5%
1. Provide excellent customer service to patients, family, providers, and co-workers (internal and external) by using professional courtesy.

2. Communicate/educate patients and other co-workers on any relevant information required to provide safe and competent rehabilitation services.

3. Display a positive attitude toward staff, patients, and family, as demonstrated by the following: team approach to problem solving, punctual and regular attendance, and initiative, interest, and enthusiasm in the job.
Record Keeping – 5%
Collect and organize research subject data; manage treatment database; maintain and troubleshoot treatment equipment. Maintain cleanliness of equipment, lab spaces, and supplies; maintain documentation; attend and participate in team meetings as requested.
