Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new Intern for Irrigation Product Management to assist in developing market analytics and general technical project management of releases. This position would report to the Zimmatic Global Product Manager to assist in obtaining real time feedback in an actionable manner.

Position Details

This is a full-time position located at the corporate headquarters in Omaha Nebraska. It would entail normal working hours with occasional early morning or late evening arrivals to accommodate field visits, customer engagements or engineering demonstrations. There may be an opportunity to travel overnight to capture field information, however this would be limited.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Market & Customer Research: Assist in gathering and analyzing customer feedback, competitor offerings, and market trends to support product strategy and identify opportunities for innovation in irrigation technologies.
  • Product Documentation & Support: Help maintain product requirement documents, user guides, and internal presentations. Collaborate with engineering and marketing teams to ensure product information is accurate and up to date.
  • Marketing: Develop product feature benefit comparisons including photo editing, collecting feedback and building a structure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree in engineering, Agricultural science or Mechanized systems management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software like Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Desire to understand irrigation and agricultural trends in the global market

Physical Requirements

  • Most of the role is office based so working in an office setting for a minimal of 8 hours is required
  • Manual handling of prototypes may be required so lifting of up to 25 lbs and use of hand tools is required
  • Exposure to outdoor and field settings is required which may have exposure to dust, pollen and occasionally extreme weather conditions.
