An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Preferred QualificationsJob Description SummaryThe University of South Alabama’s Medical Education department is seeking to hire a Program Coordinator, COM Simulation Lab. Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position.Essential Functions- Coordinates scheduling of all simulation center activities in collaboration with College of Medicine faculty, Allied Health Programs simulation faculty, Graduate Medical Education (GME) faculty, USA Health users, and external users.
- Manages the simulation center scheduling system and books learning spaces, personnel, and equipment to prevent conflicts; escalates scheduling conflicts to the Director, if needed.
- Coordinates with the Director and Assistant Directors to appropriately allocate resources, including space, staffing, and equipment.
- Coordinates scheduling of operations staff, clinical faculty, standardized patients, and contractors for simulation activities.
- Communicates logistical information to faculty, students, and simulation staff before simulation events, as needed.
- Assists with logistical coordination of simulation events before, during, and after activities.
- Prepares invoices and maintains records of simulation center financial transactions.
- Tracks revenue associated with external simulation activities.
- Maintains administrative records and documentation related to simulation center operations.
- Assists with tracking of consumables and ordering of supplies in coordination with simulation technologists.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime hours as required.
- Related duties as required.
