The Program Manager, Enterprise Strategy plays a role in advancing Bristol Myers Squibb's enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. Working closely with senior strategy leaders, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders, this individual contributes to the planning, execution, and monitoring of high-priority strategic projects. The role is well-suited for an analytically driven professional with a consulting mindset, strong organizational capabilities, and a passion for driving meaningful impact across a complex, global organization.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Project & Program Management

  • Support end-to-end coordination of enterprise strategy projects, including workplan development, milestone tracking, risk management, and status reporting.
  • Maintain project management tools, dashboards, and trackers to ensure on-time delivery of key deliverables.
  • Facilitate project agenda preparation, note-taking, and action item follow-up.
  • Proactively identify and escalate project risks, dependencies, or blockers to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide team-wide, cross-forum support, including data compilation, project tracking, stakeholder interface support and staff meeting coordination.
  • Share key project updates and actions while providing insights and recommendations to enable project discussions.

Strategic Analysis & Research

  • Conduct secondary research and competitive landscape analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Synthesize data from multiple internal and external sources into concise, insight-driven summaries and reports.
  • Assist in benchmarking organizational practices against industry peers and best-in-class standards.
  • Support the development of business cases, opportunity assessments, and strategic frameworks.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations, briefing documents, and executive-ready materials for leadership reviews and steering committees.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder meetings, workshops, and working sessions, ensuring alignment and follow-through.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact between strategy team leads and project stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Draft clear, professional communications (emails, memos, summaries) on behalf of senior leaders.

Process Improvement & Operations

  • Identify opportunities to streamline team workflows, project templates, and knowledge management practices.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal playbooks, frameworks, and process documentation.
  • Support organizational change management activities tied to strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly business reviews, strategy offsites, and planning cycles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with teams across Finance, Commercial, R&D, Operations, and Corporate Functions to coordinate integrated strategy workstreams.
  • Build productive working relationships with subject matter experts and functional leads across BMS.

Tools, Processes & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and governance of CI platforms, databases, and intelligence-sharing tools to ensure efficient and compliant knowledge management across the enterprise.
  • Establish standardized methodologies, frameworks, and processes for intelligence collection, synthesis, and dissemination.
  • Ensure all primary research is conducted in full compliance with BMS CI ethical standards, PhRMA guidelines, and IP protection policies — partnering closely with the CI Operations Director to enforce governance standards across all intelligence-gathering activities.
  • Ensure all competitive intelligence activities strictly adhere to legal, ethical, and compliance standards, including BMS's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education of a bachelor's degree is required. Fields such as Business Administration, Life Sciences, Public Health, Economics, or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field is required.
  • Experience working with senior leadership and preparing executive-level materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams) and project management tools. (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools. (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry is preferred.

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $90,100 - $109,180 


The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
