The Project Controls Specialist plays a key role in supporting project execution through effective schedule development, progress tracking, risk management, and scope oversight. The Project Controls Specialist plays a key role in supporting project execution through effective schedule development, progress tracking, risk management, and scope oversight. This mid‑level role works closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure project performance is accurately monitored and communicated. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using industry‑standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities to optimize timelines.
- Support the creation and management of Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring alignment with project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
- Assist with project risk identification, tracking, and mitigation planning.
- Prepare regular schedule, progress, and risk reports for internal leadership and clients.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to validate progress and forecast impacts.
- Ensure changes in scope, schedule, or resources are documented, analyzed, and communicated.
- Support project governance processes, including stage‑gate reviews, baseline approvals, and performance audits.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of project controls processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–7 years of project controls, scheduling, or planning experience in a construction or EPC environment.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with risk assessment.
- Understanding of construction workflows, scopes of work, and project lifecycles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work with incomplete information and adapt to changing project needs.
- Experience with earned value management, progress measurement, or portfolio reporting.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting/visualization tools.
- Experience supporting multi‑disciplinary construction projects.
- Travel: <20%, to support other Paligen Technologies locations. International travel if required.
- Work Environment: Manufacturing sites and office work environment
- Background Investigation / Drug Screen / US Person: Required.
