JobSummary:

The Project Controls Specialist i performs all project controlsfunctions including scheduling and cost control. The Sr. Project Controls Specialistwill work with schedulers, cost analysts, project managers, and other keystakeholders to refine deliverables prior to stage gate reviews. This positionwill also be a key point of contact for upper management to discusshigh-visibility projects and process development/improvement for the ProjectControls team.

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

Assist project manager to develop project scopeof work.

Study and understand all relevant projectdocuments pertaining to the preparation of plans and

schedules.

Work with all relevant project and disciplinepersonnel to prepare plans and schedules.

Convert scope of work document into logicallylinked resourced-loaded project schedule.

Prepare realistic, achievable schedules aslogical networks and where necessary integrate

engineering, procurement, and constructionschedules.

Monitor progress against project schedule andprepare progress reports.

Gather accurate progress and expended costinformation at relevant time intervals.

Prepare, review, and ensure the timely issue ofall relevant reports to stakeholders.

Verbally and in writing advise projectmanagement and discipline personnel on impacts,

contingencies and generally guide the scopestowards the earliest possible finish.

Analyze progress and effects on schedule andadvise necessary corrective actions.

Mentor other Project Controls Specialist on theteam.

Develop and/or modify Project Controls processesand working procedures based on feedback from project stakeholders and uppermanagement.

Serve as a key point of contact for uppermanagement to discuss high-visibility projects and issues.

Lead/Assist in the development of Cost andSchedule QRAs (Quantitative Risk Assessment).

Participate in schedule and project riskanalysis as required.

May assist as a Stage Gate Process Gate Reviewerby performing rigorous evaluations of project

development and control deliverables, includingbusiness cases presented by project teams.

Provide input into the budget forecastingprocess.

Track actual costs and prepare costforecasts.

Manage cost discipline to ensure accurate andtimely control and forecasting of man

hour budgets and ensure that the impact of allchange requests is properly assessed and

included in the schedules.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Basicor Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or the equivalent;

Requires five (5) years with less than (10) yearsof Project Controls related experience;

Requires previous experience utilizingPrimavera P6 to build schedules;

Must be able to effectively communicate withproject stakeholders and upper management;

Requires a basic working knowledge of projectmanagement software, specifically Primavera P6 and Excel;

Requires the ability to manage multipleprojects and determine priorities;

Must be a skilled writer;

Must understand the basic principles ofproject management;

Requires a general understanding of CostManagement, Estimating and Change Control;

Candidate must reside within a reasonablecommuting distance to work location.Candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance must provide a coverletter regarding intentions to relocate to be considered;

Candidate must reside within commutingdistance to New Orleans prior to starting employment;

Must have a high degree of computer literacy.

WorkingConditions:

Work is conducted in an office environment(Private or Semi-Private Office) and requires occasional travel to off-sitework locations (work may be primarily completed remotely).

Working plant, construction, and/or shop areasaround production machinery with extreme noise levels
