Your Mission:

Coordinates and monitors the performance across assigned programs to achieve the best functional, technical, and profitable value of company projects.


Explore the Depth of the Role:

  • Assists in tracking and reporting all project measurables, plans, goals, logistics, timelines, critical paths, risks, assumptions, and milestones throughout the program(s) lifecycle to be shared during program reviews or when requested to senior management, stakeholders, and suppliers using appropriate tools on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Shared accountability for project schedules, costs, and quality.
  • Prepares project documents and presentations; and participates in formal/informal, internal/external meetings
  • Reports daily to a Program Manager all risks, opportunities, and potential interruptions that may cause any projects to miss any critical paths i.e., budget, on-time delivery, quality issues, etc.
  • Communicates directly with Keel’s customer(s) professionally and reports out to a Program Manager.
  • Assists in tracking all required work orders for approval and customer invoicing.
  • Recommends resources and scheduling requirements for the implementation of projects for on time delivery.
  • Detect, reports, and makes recommendations for solving project, and program issues timely and effectively.
  • Manage technical data and documentation for the program.
  • Effectively communicates project developments and results to team members and liaise with other departments as well as customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborates between Keel's fabrication partner(s) and Keel's leadership team.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Mission Readiness:

  • Requires an associate’s degree in business management, Engineering, Finance, or related field from a credited college, university, or technical school; or two (2) years of successful related experience or training in project coordination, project management, engineering, finance, or manufacturing management of which one (1) year are in supervisory/managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CAPM or PMP preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/production settings.
  • Understanding of basic project management principles of planning, critical paths, resource allocation, risk management, and financial reporting.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, IFS specific experience is preferred.
  • Proven great leadership skills in past positions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Microsoft Projects Required
  • SmartSheet and Power BI experience preferred.
  • Proven capabilities in managing customer invoicing.
  • Professional and excellent communication skills with experience in corresponding with customers and executive leadership.
  • The ability to multitask and high attention to detail in a dynamic environment is required

Knowledge of welding processes and inspection methods is preferred to include:

  • Heavy plate fabrication experience that includes welding is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing methods on welded products is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of American Welding Society (AWS) Codes preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • Between facilities in the Charleston area as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
  • May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
