The Project Manager serves as a key operational resource within the SHRS Office of the Dean's business team, supporting the school's business, administrative, and academic functions. This role is responsible for coordinating complex, cross-functional projects by facilitating communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholders — including academic faculty and leaders, business operations, research, digital education, student affairs, communications, and university-level partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education administration, academic affairs, or business operations within a college or university setting
- Demonstrated success managing projects through the full lifecycle: initiation, planning, stakeholder approval, execution, and post-implementation evaluation
- Experience with process improvement, or the creation and implementation of institutional policies or procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to varied audiences
- Ability to read, interpret, and operationalize policies from multiple sources (university, accrediting bodies, regulatory agencies)
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with project management tools and university data/reporting systems preferred
Job Summary
Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of large or complex projects. Assists in developing timelines and ensures adherence to deadlines. Manages financial aspects of projects and other administrative duties. Handles external correspondence and drafts reports and other communications.
Essential Functions
- Manage and monitor school-wide, health sciences, and university-level projects tied to business and academic operations
- Partner with school leadership on processes including new program development, academic program proposals and launch, accreditation, and ensure adherence to deadlines, requirements, and policies
- Coordinate processes on management of space and facilities activities including participation in meetings and committees and preparation of reports
- Track and manage project timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Interpret and apply policies and procedures from institutional, regulatory, and accrediting bodies; advise relevant stakeholders accordingly
- Receive, scope, and fulfill various reporting requests (to the Health Sciences, University, or other areas) by coordinating with appropriate team members to gather, compile, and present accurate data
- Develop and maintain clear project documentation, status updates, and communication plans for stakeholders at all levels

The incumbent will perform duties that require remaining sedentary for long periods. Must be able to lift or carry 25 pounds or less.
