Position Summary
The Provider Relations Associate Manager is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and optimization of the provider network across assigned markets. This role focuses on strengthening provider partnerships, supporting network adequacy, resolving operational issues, and improving the overall provider experience. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills but does not include people management or direct oversight of value-based care initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for contracted providers, responding to inquiries and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Support provider onboarding activities, including orientation, education on systems/processes, and dissemination of reference materials.
- Monitor provider performance metrics and escalate concerns as needed.
- Assist in network development and expansion by identifying gaps and coordinating with contracting teams to address adequacy requirements.
- Facilitate regular provider meetings, webinars, or outreach sessions to improve engagement and strengthen partnerships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments (claims, utilization management, contracting, network operations) to streamline processes and reduce provider abrasion.
- Maintain accurate provider records, tracking outreach activities, issues resolution, and follow-up in internal systems.
- Support special projects and initiatives related to network optimization, reporting, and process improvement.
- Support provider support specialist with provider inquiry resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience in provider relations, network management, or healthcare operations.
- Strong understanding of skilled home health operations, including claims, authorizations, credentialing, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present information clearly to providers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) a plus.
