This position with Duininck Concrete offers the opportunity to perform field and lab tests on ready-mix concrete to ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, and DOT standards. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in concrete testing and mix performance evaluation.
The Role:
- Conduct slump, air content, unit weight, and temperature tests.
- Collect and document concrete samples from production sites.
- Assist with mix adjustments to maintain quality.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
- Accurately record and report test results.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Work Environment:
- Must be willing to work early mornings, some nights, and some weekends
- Travel as required
What we Look For:
- Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up if you see unsafe behavior or conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I certification within 12 months of hire.
- Ability to obtain MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certification within 12 months of hire.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors
- Valid driver’s license (regularly required to drive and navigate to job sites)
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade 2
- MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certified
- NRMCA Certified Concrete Technologist, Level 3
- NRMCA Certified Concrete Technologist, Level 4
