Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is $28.05.Responsibilities:
Summary of Position:
Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Quality Technician, to be located in the Jacksonville, FL plant. The Quality Technician position involves testing the quality characteristics of our product to ensure all products are in compliance prior to shipping to our customers.
Pay: $28.05/hr
Shift: 6PM-2AM or 4PM-12AM
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure safety practices are always met
· Maintain and enforce good housekeeping
· Conduct daily quality tests on finished products
· Understand all company product specifications and quality standards
· Manage finished products within SAP
· Effectively communicate with coworkers and management to drive continuous improvement
· Assist in external audits
· Accurately record and report quality results
· Communicate the status of work, quality incidents, and needs or concerns to necessary personnel
· Assist production with basic tasks as needed
· Able to work independently or in a team environment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel and climb ladders and staircases.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to operate mobile equipment.
Must be able to work overtime as needed and have a flexible work schedule.
Qualifications:
At least one year in manufacturing & quality experience preferred
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal)
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
