The Recruiting Coordinator is a key member of a growing Recruiting team, playing an integral role in supporting the end-to-end recruiting process. This role partners closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and staff of all levels to coordinate, schedule, track, and communicate with candidates throughout the interview lifecycle.
The Recruiting Coordinator plays a critical role in contributing to the team’s success by delivering a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in a recruiting or professional services environment and is motivated by the opportunity to take ownership and further develop their skills within a collaborative and evolving team. This is a hybrid (in-office and remote) position based in Washington, DC.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manage and own all aspects of interview scheduling in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple interviews, stakeholders, and complex logistics while balancing a high volume of moving parts.
- Support recruiters by editing and refining job descriptions and postings, ensuring consistency across materials; submit job requisitions in Workday for approval; and manage the posting and un-posting of roles in Workday under recruiter guidance.
- Maintain close coordination with recruiters by providing timely updates and ensuring transparency across all interview-related activities.
- Manage written and verbal communication with candidates, recruiters, interviewers, and hiring managers throughout the interview process.
- Support recruiters in the critical review and assessment of candidate resumes, and dispositioning of candidates.
- Ensure that candidate records and statuses are up to date in ATS (Workday) and in tracking spreadsheets.
- Support recruiters with administrative side projects and initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field of study.
- Minimum two (2) years of recruiting coordinator experience; experience in a professional services environment is highly desired.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and ability to manage a high volume of competing priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex concepts, processes, and team structures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Exhibits strong professional presence, business acumen, and mature judgment, particularly when communicating with and advising senior leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage responsibilities with minimal oversight.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Brings a strong sense of urgency and follow-through, proactively driving tasks to completion and meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Demonstrates judgment and confidence to proactively raise concerns when established processes are not followed or scheduling issues arise.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) required; Workday or Jobvite experience preferred.
Salary Range: $55k-$70K per year
