Responsibilities
The Regional Logistics Manager is responsible for leading transportation and distribution operations across North America, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-performance supply chain execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead carrier strategy, sourcing, and relationship management across all transportation modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal, parcel, etc.).
Develop and execute transportation strategies to optimize service, cost, and operational efficiency.
Manage third-party logistics (3PL) provider relationships, including performance oversight and contract execution.
Oversee operations and performance for two regional distribution centers, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Own and manage a transportation and distribution budget exceeding $50M, driving cost control and financial accountability.
Design and implement regional distribution strategies to improve network efficiency and service levels.
Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) across quality, cost, service, safety, and inventory accuracy.
Lead reverse logistics operations across North American sites, ensuring efficient returns and disposition processes.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of 8–10 transportation and distribution planners, and reverse logistics associates.
Provide leadership in talent development, succession planning, and team building.
Analyze and interpret financial and operational data to drive insights, inform decisions, and communicate performance to stakeholders.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through process optimization, standardization, and operational excellence initiatives.
Lead and support cross-functional projects, demonstrating strong project management and presentation skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Skills:
Strong financial acumen with experience managing large-scale budgets.
Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and engagement.
Demonstrated expertise in transportation, distribution, and reverse logistics operations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to lead change and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
Required:
10 years of progressively responsible experience in both Transportation and Distribution.
5 or more years of project management experience with a logistics focus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
ERP experience.
Transportation Management System experience (Ship ERP ideal).
Data Analytic tool experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and mid-advanced Excel skills.
Preferred:
Master's Degree
Certification in: ISM, CSCMP, SOLE, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen
SAP and WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
