Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a Medical Appeals Content Specialist working remotely from your home office based in the USA.

- Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000. Final salary is based on Experience and Education levels.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Medical Appeals Content Specialist
A typical day will primarily focus on editing and updating appeal letters utilizing existing templates, while also reviewing and synthesizing medical information in relation to coverage guidelines, such as medical policies and local coverage determinations (LCDs). This includes maintaining the library of documents used in appeals and ensuring accuracy and consistency across all materials. Additional responsibilities may involve identifying key issues in denial letters and crafting responsive, persuasive arguments to support appeal efforts. On occasion, this role may also provide support in federal administrative law hearings by assisting with preparation of necessary filings and related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum post-secondary education (e.g. Bachelor's, Associate's)
- Minimum of two years' experience in healthcare insurance appeals content development and/or health insurance litigation.
- Strong eye for detail including proofreading, syntax, persuasive writing, formatting.
- Experience crafting and updating medical appeals template letters.
- Experience navigating government and/or private payor health insurance appeal processes.
- Typing speed of 35 or more words per minute, with 90% or greater accuracy.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Less than 5% travel, as needed for training and meetings.
SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday, Standard 40-hour work week, working remotely from your home office based in the USA.
