Required License/Registration/CertificationNonePhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting & standing; repetitive hand motions for pipetting and computer work; ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 25 lbs; occasional bending, reaching, & walking between laboratory workstations; manual dexterity required for handling laboratory equipment, tissue samples.ShiftM-F, 8:30a to 5:00p, some weekends and evenings may be required in order to enroll study subjects.Job SummaryThe Division of Pediatric Research is seeking a detail-oriented Research Analyst to support molecular biology, biochemistry, immunodiagnostics, laboratory operations, and animal colony management.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with molecular and cellular techniques including PCR, quantitative PCR, ELISA, electrophoresis, Western blotting, molecular cloning, cell culture, and mouse husbandry. Responsibilities include conducting and analyzing molecular, biochemical, and immunologic assays; preparing DNA, RNA, and cDNA samples; maintaining laboratory organization and equipment; managing purchasing and inventory requests; and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. Strong analytical, organizational, and laboratory management skills are highly valued for this role.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesExperience with molecular and cellular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, electrophoresis, RNA/DNA extraction, tissue processing, microscopy, and mouse handling/husbandry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, and basic laboratory data analysis software. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate laboratory records and databases.
