Interested candidates should apply to be considered. Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position.Essential Functions
  • Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, performs highly responsible and independent professional laboratory work.
  • Designs and conducts live lung imaging experiments using confocal and multi-photon microscopy.
  • Performs advanced biological analyses focused on mitochondrial regulation of lung physiology.
  • Develops experimental protocols and analyzes complex datasets.
  • Prepares manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication and presents findings at scientific meetings.
  • Mentors and supervises lower level laboratory personnel.
  • Manages laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and safety compliance.
  • Follows appropriate animal handling procedures and protocols.
  • Ensures proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and toxic materials.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required; weekends as needed.
  • Related duties as required.
