PRIMARY PURPOSE

This Residential Loan Servicing role will require expertise in mortgage servicing, exceptional attention to detail, and commitment to client satisfaction, where we leverage efficient management of loans and borrowers expectations through the entire loan servicing process.


Starting at: $28.00/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with Quality Control loan servicing reviews
  • Assist with Loan Modifications
  • Process mortgage cancellations through CSC software & update corresponding spreadsheets/folders. Move the flood folders to “Paid” folder when complete.
  • Process/Organize Insurance Claims & Checks. Ensure documentation is up to date & in the respective client’s folder.
  • Assist in the set-up of all auto-payments (TMS), perform auto-pay maintenance.
  • Assist with quarterly real estate tax payments
  • Research and correct loan payment problems.
  • Process returned payments
  • Answer the loan servicing hotline & respond to Loan servicing emails.
  • Partner with other Loan Servicing Specialists to learn all aspects of Loan Servicing; each team member will be cross trained in all roles within the Loan Servicing department.
  • Assist with external and internal audit responses.
  • Assist in preparing payoff request letters and review loan payoffs. Process payoffs via wire/check.
  • PMI Billing, Removal & Monitoring
  • Send paid loans in conjunction with Commercial Lending to Iron Mountain quarterly.
  • Process lockbox payments (Deluxe)
  • Assist with Escrow Analysis & subsequent client calls.
  • Open/process mail daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Detailed knowledge of residential/consumer loans and lending documentation.
  • Experience with banking software/applications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, specifically Excel and Word
  • Great interpersonal skills: ability to interact in an appropriate and timely manner with all internal/external clients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage time, resources, and set priorities to accomplish multiple duties.
  • Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner.
  • High level of commitment to exceptional service and client relationship development for internal and external clients.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within a banking or other financial institution; exposure to residential or consumer lending products
  • Working knowledge of residential/consumer loans and lending documentation

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Working conditions are those of an “open” office environment, which can require the ability to manage some stress such as noise level from clients, employees, and general office equipment, etc. Daily use of wrists, hands, and fingers to use computer, telephone, fax, copier, and general office equipment. Ability to hear and speak clearly for gathering information. Sitting for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours), standing, and walking up to 20% of work time. Ability to bend and lift coin boxes/bags, up to approximately 30lbs. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel within the entire branch network.
