Here is your opportunity to join Kent County Road Commission! Must at least have your CDL-A learner's permit prior to your start date! We will train the right people!
Performs manual labor in the repair, maintenance or construction of State, primary and secondary roads and rights-of-way in Kent County. Performs duties and operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures that equipment is in proper working condition. Maintains a safe and positive image of the Kent County Road Commission with the public. Under the supervision or lead of higher classified employee, operates trucks and various pieces of equipment.
Most driving is only done during winter operations storm/snow response or to and from construction job sites. Follow oral and written instructions. Maintains prompt and regular attendance. Maintains various records during work activities for the preparation of related reports.
All candidates offered employment must pass a drug test including THC and will be subject to randoms during their employment with the Kent County Road Commission.
