Sales Manager, SCAD Art Sales
As a sales manager for SCAD Art Sales, you will research contacts, build relationships, and host tours and events that foster connections in Atlanta. You will lead meetings with both internal teams — including SCADpro, institutional effectiveness, giving, alumni services, and various schools — and external partners to generate leads and sales while increasing awareness of SCAD. Among other duties, you will stay informed about SCAD featured artists and their works on display in different buildings. Additionally, you will manage packaging supply inventory levels, submit work orders as needed, and ensure all works are properly inventoried and clearly labeled with accurate prices.
In this role, you will update accurate vendor information, making changes as needed for new addresses or name updates. You will also process new art into the POS and ensure all customer requests and commissions are quickly shared with the team. Additionally, you will join a weekly meeting with other sales managers to discuss issues, ideas, commissions, and needs that require additional help. Daily responsibilities include completing sales reports, making bank deposits, and communicating with accounting. Among other duties you will support events held in the SCAD Art Sales spaces, including opening and closing procedures, catering management, and posting signage. Additionally, you will assist with merchandising and the statistical analysis system.
