Position Summary:Wasatch Family Medicine is seeking a Scribe/Medical Assistant to join our care team. This role supports physicians in delivering quality patient care by maintaining accurate medical documentation, assisting with exams, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about patient service. This position is as needed, with clinic hours from Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM until close (typically 6:00PM but may extend until all patient care is complete).

Essential Job Functions: Scribe Functions: Interview patients and record pertinent history, present illness, and exam findings into the patient chart. Document office visits, exams, and orders electronically on behalf of the provider. Maintain and update patient records, including PinPoint information and reports. Retrieve prior x-rays, office notes, and results as needed. Work with coders to improve accuracy, assist with billing audits, and ensure all charges are entered. Obtain provider electronic signatures on completed notes. Communicate with the MA team via Teams to coordinate workflow. Medical Assistant Functions: Prepare patients for examination and assist providers with office procedures and injections. Record medical histories, vital signs, and visit details. Communicate test and lab results to patients as directed. Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and verify supply inventory. Assist with diagnostic and procedure coding while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with patients and staff. Support a safe, secure, and compliant clinical environment.

Qualifications: Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred). CPR certification (or willingness to complete within 4 months of hire). Working knowledge of medical terminology. Prior MA experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes helpful. Strong computer, telephone, and documentation skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment. Must be dependable, professional, and team oriented. Physical ability to bend, reach, lift up to 10 lbs regularly (and up to 50 lbs occasionally), and stand/sit for prolonged periods.

Hours: Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – close (6:00 PM or later, depending on provider schedules). Flexibility required to stay until providers have finished seeing patients and all work is completed.
