JOB SUMMARY

OnPoint is expanding Agile delivery to improve predictability, speed, and quality while keeping member outcomes front‑and‑center. The Scrum Master will coach two cross‑functional teams, facilitate core Scrum events, and evolve our practices incrementally. This role will measure what matters, focus on removing friction, and aligning delivery with decision forums and our dual‑pipeline, cross-functional model.

With a strong foundation in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices, the Scrum Master will navigate the flow of velocity and continuous improvement including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. The Scrum Master proactively identifies and removes obstacles, offering practical solutions to keep teams and their goals on track and mitigate risks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
  • Ability to turn data into decisions - bringing concise, visual insights.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including communicating highly technical information for a non-technical audience.
  • Ensure the teams follow Agile and Scrum practices and principles
  • Identify and remove impediments that may hinder the team's progress.
  • Support the team in managing the product backlog and ensuring it is prioritized and up to date.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices and principles.
  • Collaborate with internal and external development teams to improve the overall Agile process across the organization.
  • Lead the software development and implementation of highly complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Serve as an administrator for the organization’s scrum management system Azure DevOps.
  • Champion the use of AI in the scrum process.
  • Utilize AI tools like Github, CoPilot and Azure, and predictive analytics to analyze team performance, forecast project timelines, and identify potential risks early.
  • Implement AI-driven project management tools to enhance sprint planning, tracking, and reporting, and to automate routine tasks, allowing the team to focus on high-value activities.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and business analysts to provide delivery estimates, integrate Agile timelines into broader project schedules.
  • Organize and lead sprint review sessions to showcase completed work, celebrate achievements, and collect stakeholder feedback.
  • Communicate product updates, timelines, and priorities to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on progress and tradeoffs.
  • Act as an Agile change agent, promoting and embedding Agile mindsets, values, and practices across the organization to drive cultural transformation and continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

5 years of experience preferred in the following:

  • Clear, concise, direct, and collaborative verbal and written communication, leadership, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities for individual work and in support of teams’ goals.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment at an enterprise level and multi-team environments.
  • Advanced experience in software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and Scrum practices.
  • Scrum Master training or certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and their application across the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience tracking and interpreting Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughout) to drive performance improvement and predictability. Prior experience in enterprise, digital, or data transformation.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office product suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Teams), project tools (Smartsheet, Monday.com, Microsoft Project), and scrum tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira. Ability to master updated or new software and platforms as required by evolving technology.

This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two from home. More days in the office may be required during the training period.
