Pacific Coast Producers, a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking qualified, capable individuals to fill Seasonal First Responder EMT positions at our Woodland, CA production facility. PCP is investing in its people and advancing a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America. Our state-of-the-art Woodland facility uses advanced technology to process whole tomatoes into various products, including diced, crushed, stewed, sauces, and paste.

Pay Rate: $20-$23 per hour. This is a seasonal, on-site role, and you must be available to work from July 1 through October 15. Morning, Swing, and Night shifts available.

The First Responder EMT is responsible for providing immediate first aid to injured employees, assessing their condition, and determining the need for further medical attention. You will collaborate with external clinics when necessary and promptly respond to calls for assistance in all plant areas. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining an inventory of first aid supplies, ensuring their availability, and performing necessary clerical and recordkeeping duties.

Primary job duties would include:

  • Administer timely and effective first aid to injured employees, demonstrating proficiency in basic medical procedures.
  • Assess the severity of injuries and determine if further medical evaluation or treatment is necessary, coordinating with external clinics when required.
  • Respond promptly to requests for assistance in all plant areas, utilizing your knowledge and skills to provide immediate support and care.
  • Monitor and replenish first-aid supplies, maintaining an adequate inventory and ordering replacements as needed.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining accurate records of injuries, treatments provided, and related documentation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, supervisors, and external healthcare providers to facilitate effective collaboration and information exchange.
  • Stay up to date on relevant safety regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and enhance your ability to respond to emergencies effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Certified EMT, or LVN, with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, memos, labels, and safety rules.
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish or Punjabi) are preferred.
  • Ability to enter and retrieve information from the health and safety management system.
