Summary/Objective:

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is seeking a Sponsorship Activation Manager with strong client service and sponsorship activation skills for the 98th Oscars Season. This position supports the Chief Revenue Officer and Academy Museum corporate partnerships team and requires a detail-oriented, organized, and efficient individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and delivers exceptional customer service.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Manage and lead select sponsor activities, including client programs and on-site activations at the Oscars and related events.
  • Execute logistical requests and serve as liaison across departments and teams as directed by the Corporate Partnerships team to support sponsor activities.
  • Operate as a point person collecting credential forms and sponsor ticketing requests.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Chief Revenue Officer and Corporate Partnerships team.
  • Ability to work onsite and remotely, depending on event schedule.

Required Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sponsorship activations, client services, event production, or comparable work environment.
  • Outstanding client service skills with strong written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, Dropbox, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to function smoothly and efficiently both individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong initiative and ownership of projects, regardless of scope.
  • Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work professionally with other departments and Academy board members.
  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekends, sometimes on short notice.
  • Must not be a current full-time Academy employee.
  • Part-time Academy staff may be eligible for this role if they can commit to the seasonal responsibilities for the full duration and it is not in conflict with their regular responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Awards Shows and Oscars is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move up to 30lbs.

Required Vaccination: Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable. Exception:Medical and religious accommodations approved by the Office of People & Culture.

Compensation: The salary for this temporary role is $1,442.00 per week.
