Bond Separately Managed Account (SMA) Operations Senior Analyst
The Role
The Fixed Income Investment Services team is seeking a hard-working, driven individual to join their experienced team. The Bond SMA Operations role supports the Fixed Income division by managing operational processes for bond Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs). Responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy through time-sensitive reconciliations, resolving investment process workflow issues, and collaborating with portfolio managers, traders, and technology teams. The role emphasizes risk management, process improvement, and proactive communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the bond SMA investment process and its organizational touchpoints.
Perform time-sensitive data reconciliations, proactively identifying, researching, escalating, and resolving potential risk or data quality issues before the business start of day.
Provide real-time support for investment process workflows, collaborating with technology and business partners to troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the day.
Communicate effectively with portfolio management and trading teams in a fast-paced environment.
Coordinate and respond promptly to requests from distribution partners.
Identify and implement operational process improvements with a strong focus on risk management.
Skills & Expertise:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in financial services; SMA experience preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work confidently with investment professionals.
Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to manage time-sensitive workflows.
Demonstrated success partnering with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, robust solutions.
Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency with SQL and database tools for data analysis.
Awareness of market events and ability to research and interpret their impact as needed.
