Senior Analyst, Commission Uses
The Role
As part of the Commission Uses Group ('CUG'), your role involves collecting and analyzing all sub-adviser brokerage transactions on behalf of Strategic Advisers LLC. You will be responsible for the ongoing oversight of each sub-adviser and assessing their brokerage practices to ensure guidelines and industry standards are met. You will deliver high quality reporting and analytics to various business partners, Board of Trustees, regulators, and shareholders. You will build relationships with business partners across the firm as well as each sub-adviser. You will also contribute to the team’s tactical and strategic business and technology initiatives.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in financial services
Knowledge of brokerage transaction data and investment instruments
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience with database querying systems (Business Intelligence or similar)
Attention to detail and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization
Collaborates and builds relationships with key business partners, brokers, and sub-advisers
Keen focus on service levels delivering a quality product to business partners
Strong analytical skills conducted through data analysis to analyze trends and prepare actionable insights
Focus on innovation and process improvement initiatives
Applies a risk mindset identifying, managing, and mitigating risks in daily operations
Applies critical thinking assessing and analyzing assignments to identify issues and solve problems
Desire to learn the business end-to-end and become a subject matter expert
The Team
The Commission Uses Group, within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations, is a shared service supporting multiple investment advisers across the firm. The team’s core responsibilities include oversight of Strategic Adviser’s brokerage practices, management of Fidelity’s global soft dollar program which allows our investment professionals to acquire external research to aid in their investment decision-making process, and providing high-quality analysis and reporting. We work closely with internal business partners across technology, operations, legal, compliance, risk, trading, treasurer’s office, etc. and externally with brokers, vendors, and sub-advisers.
The base salary range for this position is $74,000-141,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
