About the Role & Team
The Senior Analyst, C Suite Tech Agenda will serve as a key research partner to the Group Vice President of Buyer Insights Research, supporting the development and delivery of IDC’s global C-Suite Tech Agenda subscription service and custom projects. The role focuses on enabling high impact research, insight generation, and effective execution of the program’s strategic priorities. Working closely with the GVP, this individual will contribute to research at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and executive leadership, including executive interviews, survey data analysis, report authoring and narrative development aligned to the program’s vision. The Senior Analyst will also support the GVP’s external-facing activities by preparing presentations, briefings, and research materials for client engagements and events. Collaboration with global IDC analysts in a highly virtual environment is essential. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious and motivated by helping senior executives understand how AI-driven innovation is reshaping enterprise priorities and C suite decision-making.
What You’ll Do
Under the direction of the Group VP, Research Buyer Insights, develop written research and presentation materials based on CSuite Tech surveys and executive interviews.
Author and coauthor research reports and clientfacing deliverables, produce executive summaries and newsletters, and respond to client inquiries with timely, insightdriven analysis.
Create personaspecific perspectives across the CSuite (e.g., CMO, CHRO, COO, Chief AI Officer) in collaboration with other Buyer Insights analysts at IDC.
Build a strong understanding of technology adoption (with a focus on AI), priorities, pain points, and future plans across Csuite personas.
Analyze survey, spending, and vendor data to generate insights on buying behavior and decision dynamics across executive roles.
Support the execution of syndicated research, including executive interviews, and custom projects, managing multiple research workstreams in parallel.
Present research findings to clients and prospects at an executive level as needed, supporting client understanding and decisionmaking.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus.
- 3+ years job experience in a relevant practice at an IT market research or consulting firm; or in a Technology vendor environment.
- Diverse understanding across multiple technology areas (e.g., SaaS, cloud, AI, infrastructure, professional services).
- Strong commitment to client support/success and enthusiasm for the program mission.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to produce insightful reports based on desk research, briefings, sound survey, providing meaningful recommendations.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite and the ability to learn to use various IDC resources for document preparation, publishing, client inquiry tracking, and program financial performance.
- Ideally located in the Eastern Time Zone in the US or Canada.
- 100% Remote work model, with option to meet at IDC office locations (e.g., Boston HQ).

Compensation Transparency
At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Employees are compensated equitably for their work, aligned with their skills and experience. Salary and incentive structures are determined through a rigorous process that considers experience, education, certifications, role-specific requirements, internal equity, and verified U.S. market data from an independent third-party partner.
The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $80,000 – $90,000, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation.
