How will you make an impact in this role?

American Express entered the travel agency business in 1915 and today is one of the world’s largest luxury travel and lifestyle service networks. The Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides exclusive access, differentiated value, extraordinary service, and unrivaled expertise to premium Card Members seeking leisure or business travel, as well as a variety of lifestyle services. The TLS COE (Center of Excellence) is tasked with uniting the travel and lifestyle benefits and strategic travel partner relationships globally to create structured and focused plans towards advanced Card Member engagement with Amex travel benefits.

Commercial strategy is a new and growing area of Travel & Lifestyle services that advises on revenue improvement and customer value optimization for Amex Travel with data-backed insights. The team is kicking off new initiatives to improve TLS tooling, decision-making, and commercial performance and is also providing analytical and project management support to existing business processes and decisions.

The decisions made in this role will have a direct impact on the TLS P&L, which is an increasingly important part of Amex overall strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building foundational processesto manage business effectively
• Support and ownership of data models
• Support and ownership of dashboarding, KPIs, and reporting
• Communication of takeaways to senior audiences (VP+)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Self-starter who is comfortable with white space
• At least 1-3 years of experience in a data analytics, business operations, or commercial strategy
• Problem solving mindset
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• SQL, Python, or R skills
• Experience in travel is a plus

Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
