How will you make an impact in this role?

At American Express, we are bringing together ground breaking technologies, innovative solutions and industry leading PAM expertise to secure our most critical IT assets against an ever evolving threat landscape while providing friction-less services for a rich customer experience.

As a Sr Assoc-CyberOps & Assurance, you will design and deliver secure, resilient & customer centric PAM services on cloud & on-prem, and champion a culture of technological innovation & continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incorporating industry leading technologies that enhance AXP's ability to lead IT Security risk
  • Develop and deploy risk mitigation strategies and controls
  • Implement and support least privilege based authorization policies on Unix and Linux (PMUL)
  • Implement SSH authentication via certificates.

Education & Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent
  • 3+ Years Experience with Red Hat Linux and other Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Good understanding of SSH architecture and SSH certificates on Linux servers
  • Hands on knowledge in using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift and GitHub and leveraging Terraform
  • Scripting / Programming experience using KSH, BASH, Python
  • Good database and SQL experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with senior BU/tech counterparts
  • Able to work well in a team environment and willingness to challenge traditional thinking by actively engaging in constructive dialogue.
  • Preferably from IAM/ PAM background.
  • Industry certifications a plus - Security+, CISSP or equivalent

Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
