The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. The OnBrand Creative Agency sits within GABM. We aspire to be the creative partner-of-choice to build seamless customer experiences for our Business Units, essential for driving results and unlocking value through deeper knowledge of our business powered by industry-defining creative excellence”. We are focused on developing forward thinking ideas and work across channels, end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond. We are seeking a Senior Copywriter.

As a Senior Copywriter, your work will be held to the highest standards. You're an important member of a high-performance team, and we're counting on your best effort on every assignment, every day building a culture of delivering transformative work.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Owns copy development to meet complex digital and email campaign narrative and messaging direction, specifically for a B2B target segment
  • Implement copy with message hierarchy in live digital environments
  • Create real-time drafts for Marketing Partners (e.g. landing pages on live Figma screens) to make edits quickly, increasing efficiency and feedback turns
  • Leads internal creative reviews for projects, ‘selling in’ messaging hierarchy and copy concepts, while incorporating feedback from key stakeholders in real time
  • Senior Copywriters on this team must have strong digital and content writing skills and the ability to bring those concepts to life
  • You should have the ability to comprehend strategic briefs and develop work that's on strategy and is consistent with the brand character.
  • Must be able to execute across a wide array of channels including digital display banners, landing pages, and emails.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of B2B copy writing experience within a creative agency environment
  • Ability to concept new campaign copy in a variety of mediums
  • Track record of translating marketing insights and strategies to into compelling advertising campaigns that are digital-first
  • Ability to lead messaging across high complex, multi-channel campaigns, maintaining consistency and brand voice with ownable B2B value
  • Acts as a brand voice steward, ensuring copy aligns with evolving tone, strategy, and platform needs across touchpoints
  • Ability to combine conceptual creative thinking with high-quality content delivery
  • Captivating presentation skills
  • Passionate about social media platforms, trends, technology and best practices
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills •
  • A "maker" mentality, be curious and not afraid to try new methods
  • Strong conceptual skills
  • Industry awarded work preferred

Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
