How will you make an impact in this role?
As the Sr Cybersecurity Engineer II in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Lifecycle Management (LCM) Architecture and Engineering team, you will be working on a complex system of applications deployed on-prem and in the private cloud that provides access management and related data services to other applications enterprise wide. You will be responsible for designing the application data architecture, defining scalable data schemas, building and maintaining data pipelines, enabling ML-driven analytics, and ensuring the resiliency, and availability of the critical IAM LCM data system. You are required to have deep hands-on experience with distributed data technologies, data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and system administration—combined with a strong understanding of security, governance, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate and enhance ETL/ELT data pipelines and ingestion frameworks to ingest data from multiple internal systems for real-time and batch processing of large-scale application data.
- Develop pipelines using platforms such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, Databricks, Airflow, NiFi, or equivalent.
- Ensure data quality by implementing validation, error-handling, and observability mechanisms in the pipelines.
- Work with a mix of relational, NoSQL, and distributed systems to support analytics, BI, and ML workloads.
- Collaborate with Information Security analysts to ensure the data environment supports advanced detection and reporting.
- Administer the data platform ensuring performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies to maintain resiliency and high availability.
- Conduct regular monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for data systems and services.
- Manage access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements across the data ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or Data Administrator.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one JVM-based language (Scala/Java preferred).
- Deep experience with data pipeline frameworks: Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks, Flink, NiFi, Step Functions, etc.
- Understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch).
- Ability to design and maintain secure, scalable, high-throughput ingestion pipelines.
- Knowledge of machine learning lifecycle tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data lakes/warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Lakehouse technologies).
- Background in cybersecurity, information security analytics, or equivalent.
- Certifications such as:
- AWS/GCP/Azure data engineering credentials
- Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CCSP)
- Knowledge of modern data platform architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services.
- Strong understanding of Linux administration, system monitoring, and distributed systems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and security teams.
- Self-driven and able to operate in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with an emphasis on reliability and operational excellence.
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
