Amex Digital Labs is responsible for catalyzing digital innovation by originating, incubating, and managing emerging products and platforms that can be essential to our customers’ digital lives. We strive to emphasize creativity, customer centricity, and innovation. Focus areas include crafting industry-leading digital payment solutions, using our outstanding servicing network and lifestyle assets to build digital experiences, and defining new products and services based on emerging technologies and trends.
This Senior Manager role will focus on supporting product governance across Amex Digital Labs. The successful candidate will serve as the central business contact to lead audits and drive process improvement efficiencies, while balancing the critical need for controls and risk mitigation, for key strategic projects on behalf of Amex Digital Labs. This person will develop a deep understanding of product governance and exhibit strong subject matter expertise in key Amex policies and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support audit program management across Digital Labs
- Coordinate audit-related inquiries and exams, including Internal Compliance Testing (ICT), Internal Audit Group (IAG), and other ad hoc audit needs
- Partner with all relevant product owners and stakeholder teams to satisfy requests timely and comprehensively
- Facilitate readiness and knowledge share activities across Labs
- Lead process improvement projects focused in centralized governance function, in partnership with Control Management and Compliance, on the following programs:
- Data retention and declaration
- Regulatory Change Management
- Operational Risk Events Program framework
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying gaps, developing toolkits and resources, and reengineering activities to optimize efficacy of the product and business control environment
- Proactively anticipate risks/issues and ensure appropriate mitigation planning is in place to avoid compromising delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation sills with the ability to influence partners across a wide variety of functions
- Strong agency, can handle ambiguity in a fast-moving organization, and thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
- Ability to drive results against timelines, prioritize, and execute flawlessly
- Demonstrated strategic, critical, and creative thinking to problem-solve obstacles and develop winning solutions
- Self-starter that can excel in a dynamic environment by driving decision-making, working well under pressure, and adapting to frequent change
- Excellent relationship-building with partners and across internal stakeholders
- Proven track record in crafting and storytelling via PowerPoint presentations
- Possess intellectual curiosity about the evolving digital, mobile, and alternatives payments space and innovative membership experiences
- Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in leading audit-related inquiries or exams a plus
- MBA a plus
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
