Founded in 2002, Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. Operation Homefront is sourcing candidates for a Senior Manager, Events position (remote).
The Senior Manager, Events develops, plans and implements fundraising events, best-in-class donor engagement and stewardship activities and high-value internal meetings for Operation Homefront in partnership with Senior Director, Events. In the role, this position is responsible for all event planning, designing, logistics, communications, budgeting, financial reconciliation and analysis of events included in their portfolio, several of which they will produce independently. Central to the position is the ability to manage external vendors for entertainment, venue, food/beverage, décor, photography, catering, music and audio-visual needs. In addition to the event logistics and planning elements of the role, this position will support in designing fundraising strategy so that events produce the budgeted revenue and create meaningful opportunities for corporate, foundation and individual donors to deepen their investment in Operation Homefront. This position requires strong collaboration with both internal teams (marketing, brand, development, regions, IPR and programs) plus external partners and donors.
Desired candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree required or education/experience equivalency preferably in business, marketing, or related field.
- 5-7 years’ experience in event planning and production, ideally in a non-profit setting.
- Strong oral and written skills.
- Possesses strong relationships and communication skills.
- Knows how to steward stakeholders with excellence.

Primary job duties include:
- Independently develops, plans and executes fundraising events, donor stewardship activities and high-value internal meetings for Operation Homefront, keeping internal and external stakeholders regularly engaged and updated, including the Senior Director of Events.
- Oversees all aspects of events in portfolio including event planning and implementation, designing, logistics, communications, budgeting, financial reconciliation and analysis. Included is management of external vendors for entertainment, venue, food/beverage, décor, photography, catering, music and audio-visual needs to ensure excellence and cost efficiency.
- Evaluates event performance through data analysis, feedback, and post-event reporting to ensure events meet brand standards, adhere to budgets, and achieve revenue goals.
- Works collaboratively, cross-departmentally and with internal teams (development, marketing, brand, regions, IPR and programs) to ensure events are representative of internal and external donor interests.

Other Details:
General office and sedentary. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events as needed. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
