How will you make an impact in this role?

As the Senior Manager of Global Prospect and Brand Insights within the Global Brand Strategy and Insights (GBSI) Measurement Insights team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we understand and act on brand sentiment worldwide - delivering actionable insights that guide strategy, marketing, and customer experience decisions across markets and business units.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the global brand measurement survey program, ensuring methodological rigor, alignment with business strategy, and actionable outputs.
  • Identifying and championing new, innovative approaches to brand measurement and analysis – evolving the program to take advantage of emerging technologies.
  • Delivering clear insights on customer needs and values, and defining opportunities for American Express in the marketplace.
  • Partnering across markets and business units, ensuring impact of insights by tailoring approach to meet diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborating with internal and agency partners to advance reporting automation and online tools that enable broad access to performance metrics and analyses.
  • Managing agency partners to ensure data quality, timeliness of results, and operational and cost efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven Research Expertise: 7+ years in consumer insights, market research, or related roles. Hands-on experience designing, managing, and analyzing complex global research programs. Proficiency in quantitative and experimental research methods. Ability to identify and resolve methodological or data quality issues proactively.
  • Growth & Innovation Mindset: Thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment, continuously learning and leveraging emerging technology to optimize methodologies and enhance impact.
  • Insightful Storytelling: Skilled at translating data into compelling, actionable recommendations. Strong written, visual, and verbal presentation skills. Comfortable with statistical methods (significance testing, segmentation, regression/driver modeling).
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrates resilience, flexibility, and solutions-orientation. Strong organizational skills. Effective at influencing and collaborating across complex stakeholder networks.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Business, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Combination of research vendor/agency and client-side experience.
  • Post-graduate degree in marketing, market research, or related discipline.
  • Experience leading large-scale customer sentiment or brand health measurement programs (e.g., NPS, Brand Tracking).
  • Skilled with data visualization and survey platforms (Qualtrics, Tableau, or similar).

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
