The Senior Manager of Institutional Philanthropy engages in work associated with research, grant writing and fundraising campaigns for the organization. Designs and implements organization-wide donor relations and the stewardship system to promote interaction with and recognition of donors at all levels.
Conducts research and landscape analysis on prospective donors/areas of interest to help identify fundraising opportunities. Build on existing practices/tools to deliver corporate and foundation research profiles/briefings that lead to identification, qualification and cultivation resulting in both unrestricted/restricted funding opportunities from institutional partners.
Helps to maintain the overall fundraising pipeline and collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline fundraising processes and to develop new procedures that support the business of the Chapters Foundation Health System.

Responsibilities

Achieves fundraising goals and expectations as defined by the Foundation.

Adheres to ethical standards established by Association of Fundraising Professionals or Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.

Manages appropriate resources and processes to help ensure personal and team success in meeting organizational and personal objectives and goals.

Manages aspects of the fundraising process (e.g., identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, systems/processing, stewardship) within their respective donor/prospect pool or function.

Manages the identification, cultivation, solicitation and/or stewardship of the donors and prospective donors assigned within their respective donor/prospect pool or fundraising channel.

Manages fundraising pipeline: generate reports on pipeline activities across the enterprise, tracks reporting requirements, updates opportunities etc.

Participates in the effort to establish an effective case for support (value proposition) and provides feedback on how it resonates with their respective assigned prospective donor pool.

Performs duties in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and board policies (e.g., gift acceptance) pertaining to gifts, contributions, grants and other charitable support raised.
