About the U.S. Consumer Services Team:

The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering best in class marketing and our suite of differentiated products & lifestyle services (e.g. dining, travel). This team also drives the strategy, sourcing, and delivery of proprietary cash back, cobrand, and membership rewards consumer products and enterprise benefits to American Express members, with a focus on driving daily relevance and backing in their lives.

About the U.S. Consumer Services – Business Development & Partnerships Team

Within U.S. Consumer Services, the Business Development & Partnerships team is focused on building strong partnerships with great brands; these partnerships differentiate our card products and deliver compelling partner-funded value to our Card Member, which makes membership essential.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager, Retail Partnerships will lead our U.S. Consumer benefit relationships with our key retail partners (including Saks). The successful candidate will be responsible for key aspects of the benefit lifecycle, including:

  • Leading goal-setting and supporting financial forecasting
  • Defining benefit positioning and marketing
  • Ensuring seamless customer experience and Operational Excellence
  • Delivering against all contractual commitments (i.e. attribution, reporting, payments)
  • Identifying and progressing benefit growth opportunities
  • Leading test & control processes

In addition to working closely with key retail partners, the successful candidate will partner with many groups across the Blue Box including Product Management, Global Merchant Services, Finance, Marketing, Corporate Affairs & Communications, Control Management, and more.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Deep curiosity, interest in continuously learning more about the Blue Box and the partner(s)
  • Proactive, organized, and results-oriented individual
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Roll-up your sleeves attitude with ability to dive into the details where required and demonstrated ability to be thorough in approach
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic projects and timelines with effective organizations skills and prioritization methods
  • Thrive in dynamic environments where each week may present new challenges to overcome and problems to solve; comfortable with ambiguity and working in white space

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
