Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Customer Insights supports the development and execution of market research, analytics, and insight-generation activities that inform strategic and tactical decision-making for the WW Cell Therapy Lymphoma business. Working alongside the Director, this contributes to the design of research initiatives, synthesizes data across sources, and communicates clear, objective insights that guide brand strategies, execution and customer engagement. The role is accountable for executing end-to-end insights and supporting analytics, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and enterprise commercial strategies.

As a Senior Manager, this role will collaborate with cross-functional partners—including members of the Brand, Medical, and Access teams—to contribute to data-informed decision-making and customer engagement. In this capacity, the Senior Manager will operate under the close guidance of the Director, ensuring alignment with business unit and enterprise objectives. The Senior Manager will supporting the adoption of innovative research and analytics tools and methodologies such as AI and machine learning. This role is well-suited for a motivated research / analytics professional looking to deepen their pharmaceutical commercial experience and grow toward greater strategic ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analytics

  • Support the Commercial team in executing primary and secondary market research plans focused on actionable insights and identification of potential brand opportunities
  • Manage day-to-day project logistics including vendor coordination, timeline tracking, and ensuring compliance with research best practices.
  • Prepare clear, concise presentations that synthesize data findings, contributing to a broader understanding of market dynamics, competition, and brand performance.
  • Partner with broader to Insights & Engagement team to synthesizing data from multiple sources (APLD, IQVIA, SHS, Claims, Patient chart data, BrandImpact) to support learnings and pull through actions from market research work
  • Collaborate with the Centers of Excellence to support a unified and comprehensive approach to insights generation.
  • Partner with Brand team members to help answer business questions and provide data-based inputs to strategic choices, supporting senior leader presentations
  • Partner with Director to identify opportunities to apply innovative approaches and techniques in insight generation that reflect best practice.
  • Drive the adoption and application of advanced analytics capabilities, including AI, machine learning, and other innovative methodologies to enhance insights generation and support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in analytics processes by identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and participating in capability-building initiatives.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset and assist in tracking emerging trends, innovative methodologies, and best practices to help elevate the organization's insights capabilities in collaboration with the CoE.
  • Support Customer Insights & Engagement representation in BU-level forums as directed, contributing data and analytical inputs to cross-functional discussions.
  • Guide in applying advanced analytics (including AI and machine learning) in concert with primary market research to provide comprehensive answers to key business questions, supporting a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making
  • This role does not have direct people management responsibilities but may provide direction to peers, offshore team, and guide vendors on project based activities.
  • Ensure adherence to all BMS operating policies and governance standards.

Key Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical analytics or market research, ideally within oncology or related therapeutic areas.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (Master's or PhD) a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with complex data sources—primary research, secondary data, and competitive intelligence—and translate findings into clear insights with guidance from senior team members.
  • Developing stakeholder management and partnership skills, with a collaborative approach to working across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly conveying data findings and analytical outputs.
  • Ability to manage defined workstreams independently while proactively seeking guidance on broader strategic questions as needed.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard data sources and tools (e.g., IQVIA, SHS, analytics platforms) and a willingness to build proficiency in integrating advanced analytics methodologies into analysis plans / deliverables.
  • Foundational knowledge of analytical disciplines such as market research, secondary data analytics, or marketing science, with a growing understanding of how other commercial functions relate to and inform insights generation.
  • Ability to connect analytical outputs to business questions with guidance, developing an understanding of the relationship between brand strategy and analytic insights.
  • Demonstrate a consistent commitment to the QC process to ensure quality of deliverables meets or exceeds team standards.

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $133,710 - $162,019 


The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays
